Yoga

A fun, safe, flowing yoga practice in a private or small group setting for any body, any age involving warm-up, work with both energetic and restful options for all, cooling down, and final relaxation. We don't believe in a yoga that measures you against other people. A yoga practice is about you – not about the teacher or about the person next to you. Through a good yoga practice, we can learn to really listen to what our bodies are trying to tell us, rather than focusing on what the mind tells us we "should" do.

Our flowing, vinyasa poses focus on the breath and the lengthening and strengthening of muscle groups throughout the body. These Yang poses and sequences typically build heat and improve range of motion, balance, and body awareness.

Our longer held Yin poses focus on improving range of motion and awareness of the connective tissue (fascia and ligaments) primarily in the lower back, hips, and thighs. Yin poses are more contemplative, and the pace is slower.

We often include both Yang AND Yin poses in the same class.

Our goal is to meet the needs of every student in our classes, which are typically multilevel. To do so, we are trained to give options that suit the needs of every level. This includes the use of chair and props.

You are always in control of what is right for you in any given class.
